Tabla virtuoso Pandit Sharda Sahai’s career that spanned more than six decades his output was prodigious and included accompanying major Indian musicians and dancers from both the Hindustani and Carnatic traditions, collaborations with Western composers and establishing Pandit Ram Sahai Sangit Vidyalaya (PRSSV) in 1965
The primary classical genres in the Hindustani tradition are Dhrupad and Khayal forms along with many popular forms which include folk, Rabindra Sangeet, Sugam Sangeet, Bhajan and Bollywood.
